The American West is stunning, no matter where you are, in Utah, Wyoming or Wyoming. Shaw Ranch is situated within the Wind River Range. The Shaw Ranch has huge windows that frame the views. This creates picture-perfect scenes in almost all rooms. Large-scale photography is a great way to bring in the outside, even if views are not the main focal point of the room. Ansel Adams, the creator of iconic imagery in the American West, is a great source of inspiration. The fireplace mantel is decorated with a black-and white photo of wild horses in the Shaw Ranch's study. Western riches are further celebrated by elements such as a candlestick made of a deer and an artisan-made chair.

A traditional tub, pin-striped shower curtain, penny tile floors and bold artwork complement the Pacific blue wall tiles in this historic-meets-modern bath. The bathroom is adorned with a red Southwestern-style rugs. The bathroom countertop is covered with Mexican tile patterns. One row of green tiles runs along the wall to transform the countertop into a wooden-framed mirror. This tile looks great paired with simple wooden cabinets and a white kitchen sink. Junk Gypsies provided color by painting the staircase wall brightly blue and hanging an American Flag. The leather furniture is comfortable and has festive pillows. Native American rug design brings warmth and the American West atmosphere. An elegant silver-colored eagle flies above a sitting area with wrought steel chairs underneath the staircase. Large gold wings welcome guests to the entranceway.

A pair of smaller cube ottomans with grid patterns are placed under a shell-white curved top console table. They can be found just below a great area's seating. Celery Jones has created large scale custom art that brings the Texas landscape inside. Cowboy boots add a quintessential Texan touch. The staircases are connected to the house by open railings and stairwells. The bold red-andblack runner rug guides the eye throughout the space. This vintage Bracero hat installation hangs in the stairway connecting the first and second floors of a Mexican-inspired restaurant. The combination of the display and a rustic wood dresser with mounted metal horse heads creates an overwhelming feeling of authenticity. Braceros are Mexican laborers who worked in California, particularly during WWII when American soldiers were fighting overseas.

Western style demands the use of colorful textiles. This room has city views, which can be used as decoration without traditional wall art. This space blends Southern and Western styles. Sarah Moore of Sarah Catherine Design says that the goal was to make an old barn a modern farmhouse where my client can host their friends and family.
